Basmati rice

  • 1 cup basmati rice washed
  • 11⁄2 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  1. Insert the stainless steel bowl into the Instant Pot®. Add the rice, water and salt. Mix.
  2. Put on and lock the lid of the Instant Pot®. Make sure the steam release valve is turned to “Sealing”. Press the PRESSURE COOKING function , at the HIGH pressure level , and set the time to 3 MINUTES.
  3. When finished cooking, press CANCEL and let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Then turn the steam release valve to “Venting”. Wait until all the steam has come out before opening the lid and removing the rice.
