Integral rice

  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 cup of brown rice
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of cold water


  1. Insert the stainless steel bowl into the Instant Pot® and pour in the oil. Press the SKIP functionality and set the time to 2 MINUTES . Add the rice and grain, stirring so that it does not burn.
  2. After 2 minutes, press CANCEL . Add the salt and water.
  3. Put on and lock the lid of the Instant Pot®. Make sure the steam release valve is turned to “Sealing”. Press the PRESSURE COOKING function , at the HIGH pressure level , and set the time to 25 MINUTES.
  4. When finished cooking, press CANCEL and turn the steam release valve to “Venting”. Once all the pressure is released, open the lid and remove the rice.
