The team has won the NFL Championship in the year 1958, 1959 and 1968, with the Colts losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III. The Colts have also won their first Super Bowl title in the year 1970 over the Dallas Cowboys.
The club has gained massive popularity as the players have played a lot. During this time the organization was led by star quarterback Johnny Unitas until the year 1973 when he was traded to the San Diego Chargers. Following disappointing seasons and also poor fan attendance, the franchise moved to Indianapolis in the year 1984. While in Baltimore this specific team accomplished ten postseason appearances and won four championships.
There are lots of fantastic players in the game, and the interesting facts are that there are lots of players who have achieved a lot in their game. In addition to that, controversially moving to Indianapolis in the year 1984, the Colts had some of the superstars like Eric Dickerson and Marshall Faulk, two of the best running backs of all time, but this also took until the drafting of Peyton Manning in 1998 for the Colts to acquire its franchise superstar. Marvin Harrison, Dwight Freeney, Reggie Wayne, as well as Robert Mathis were on that team and are also some of the best Colts ever.
